Carbon Calling – 25 June
Carbon Calling is a conference that has been established by four farmers, who are interested in an exchange of information and sharing knowledge on grass and forage-based livestock systems in a fun and relaxed environment. The aim is to share experiences from a wide range of systems, including regenerative approaches, rotational grazing and silvo-pastural systems, to demonstrate the range of styles that can be used to achieve the vision.
Carbon Calling is taking place on Saturday 25th of June at Sleastonhow, Kirkby Thore, Cumbria. There will be some activity on Friday 24th and a workshop on Sunday 26th, with the main conference on the Saturday. A field for camping and a bar are available on Friday and Saturday nights.
Greg Judy is the main speaker and will be joined by Shelia Dillion from the Food Programme on Radio 4 and Janet Hughes from Defra. There will be a number of farmers who will be talking about their systems.
