April 9 @ 12:00 am - 12:30 am
Date: Wednesday 9 July
Morning visit to Cotswold Seeds, FarmED, Honeydale Farm, Shipton Under Wychwood, Chipping Norton.
FarmED is now an established 107 acre demonstration farm, our 2 hour farm walk will cover soil health, crop rotations, heritage vs conventionally grown wheat, herbal leys, mob grazing livestock, a Community Supported Agriculture scheme (The Kitchen Garden People), apiary, natural flood management scheme, heritage orchard and more. We will see how the farm’s management approach is providing opportunities to lower input costs, increase biodiversity, rural employment and resilience to climate instability, and also improve livestock health. Explore how these regenerative practices could be implemented in different systems or at different scales. We will finish off with a bite to eat at the farm’s café.
