Marc Jones, BGS Grassland Farmer of the Year 2021, is hosting a visit to his farm.
Join us to find out about:
- Outwintering cattle and sheep on fodder beet
- The use of herbal leys
- The sheep flock (500 NZ Romneys)
- The beef finishing enterprise (350 dairy-bred Aberdeen Angus heifers)
The farm tour will start at 11 am prompt, and will be followed by a light lunch at 1 pm. Booking is free but is required for catering purposes.
N.B. If travelling from the north or east, please use the A458 out of Welshpool. Turn right to pass the entrance to Powys Castle, then follow this road to Trefnant Hall.
